Unlike traditional 1-day Cu Chi and Mekong tours, discover our new Mekong Delta destination just 26 km (1 hour) from Ho Chi Minh City. Experience the heart of the Mekong: stroll through rice fields, cross rivers on local ferries, visit traditional homes, enjoy fresh coconut juice straight from the tree, learn about the friendly Cao Dai religion, historical site and see how locals harvest edible bird nests. Combined with the Cu Chi Tunnels, you’ll explore two of Southern Vietnam’s most iconic attractions in one day and return to your hotel before 5 p.m.

07:30 AM: Pick up at the hotel

The Cu Chi Tunnels, a renowned tourist attraction in Ho Chi Minh City, often attract large crowds. Our tour is uniquely designed to provide maximum comfort and convenience, with guests enjoying detailed videos and map models narrated right on the car/van. This allows you to fully understand the tunnels’ history and layout without the need to wait in line or navigate crowded spaces.

Enjoy the peaceful Vietnamese countryside en route as your guide shares stories of the Cu Chi resistance. The Cu Chi Tunnels, started in 1948, were first used for storing munitions during the French occupation. By the 1960s, they expanded to 250 km, stretching from Saigon to Cambodia. Dug by villagers with simple tools, excess soil was discreetly moved at night to rice fields or the Saigon River.

08:15 – On the car, watch a captivating video and model presentation detailing the tunnels’ construction, wartime use, and pivotal role in guerrilla warfare.

09:00 – Arriving the Tunnel.

Explore the 200-km tunnel system, including infirmaries, kitchens, and storage rooms, while learning about the lives and struggles of Vietnamese soldiers during the war. Experience hands-on activities and watch a historical documentary showcasing their resilience.

10:30 – We are heading to the Mekong Delta, 50 km away

12:00 – Upon arrival at a local farm in the Mekong, guests can immerse themselves in the serene rural atmosphere while enjoying a lunch featuring authentic local cuisine.

13:15 –Acquire bicycles or motorcycles with a driver and commence your journey
The journey covers a 22km radius through tranquil countryside roads, surrounded by fresh air and rustic landscapes.

Visit a Guava Garden (4km):

Stop by a lush guava orchard.
Learn about the planting and caring process of guava trees.
Take photos and enjoy fresh guava picked right from the garden.

Relax by the River – Sugarcane Juice and Hammock Break (5km):

Take a break at a riverside stop.
Enjoy a refreshing glass of sugarcane juice and relax in hammocks under the shade.

Visit a Historical Relic Site (6km):

Explore a historical site with stories from the past, particularly related to Long An’s role during the war.
Learn about local heritage and historical significance

Visit a Local Home – Experience Rural Life (7km):

Stop at a local household to observe daily rural life.
Stroll through golden rice fields and fish ponds.
Enjoy fresh coconut water served right from the tree.

Cross the first Ferry (10km):

Experience a local ferry ride across the river, a charming aspect of life in the Mekong Delta.

Visit a Cao Dai Temple (14km):

Explore the unique architecture of a Cao Dai temple. Cao Dai is a unique Vietnamese religion founded in 1926, blending elements of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Christianity, and spiritualism. It emphasizes harmony, universal love, and the unity of all faiths
Learn about the Cao Dai religion and its significance to the local community.

Discover the Swiftlet Farming Industry (18km):

Visit a bird’s nest farming facility and learn about the process of cultivating swiftlet nests.
Understand the economic and nutritional value of bird’s nests.

Cross the second Ferry and Return to Milan Farm (22km):

Complete the cycling loop with another peaceful ferry crossing.

15:13 – Back to the Farm.

15:30 – Return to Ho Chi Minh City (26km)
The car will take the group back to Ho Chi Minh City. End of the tour! The guide bids farewell and looks forward to seeing you again on future journeys.

Guests are advised to bring hats, sunscreen, and comfortable clothing for cycling.
If you prefer, a motorbike ride with a local driver is available instead of cycling (7 USD extra).
In this peaceful countryside Mekong, if you have a valid motorcycle license, you can drive. Please inform us when booking the tour.
